Peoria Volkstänzer

The Peoria Volkstanzer (folk dancers) play an important role in keeping German culture alive in the Heart of Illinois through dance. The group is dedicated to learning traditional folk dances from all regions of Germany as well as Austria, Switzerland and more. Not only do the members enjoy learning new dances but performing for others at our fests and at other events throughout the area. The dance group not only has adult members but have also recently formed a children's group. Our kinder troup ranges in age from 7 - 15. Folk dancing takes place on Sunday nights at the Lindenhof.
